March 31, 2009

Pride is one of the most sinister forces we can face. It can take hold of our lives, lead us down a dangerous path and entangle us in a snare of lies and deception. And in the life of Absalom, David’s son, pride ultimately led to his destruction.
But there’s a way to avoid that fate in our own lives. And as Ed Young shows us in this message, if we can keep our ego in check we will avoid the trap. Instead, we’ll continue heading down the path God has for us. And we’ll experience the most out of life.

Lesser Known Personalities of the Bible

Most people have heard of the disciples. Many of us are familiar with stories of Moses, David and certainly Jesus. But what about those people in the background of Scripture?

In this series, Ed Young looks at some seemingly insignificant characters and shows us their significance. He brings them from the background of the Bible to the foreground of our minds. Because although they don't receive a lot of ink in the Bible, these unknown personalities have a lot to teach us about the way God wants us to live.
