Volunteers & Children's Ministry

November 30, 2009

VolBack VolFront Volunteers are so vital to ministry, especially in children's ministry. Weekend services just wouldn't happen without them. Fellowship Church recently produced this piece to encourage people to step up to make an eternal impact.

Mike Johnson, FC Kids Pastor, recently did a great post called "Volunteering - Do it for (Your) Kids" that is definitely worth checking out.

Senior Pastor Ed Young, Executive Pastor Preston Mitchell and Children's Pastor Mike Johnson also take a look at why having a strong Children's Ministry is a necessity in the Leadership Uncensored talk, Children's Ministry - Who Needs It?

Here are some additional messages we really love on this topic. Take some time to check them out, and let us know what you do to inspire people to get involved!

Podcast > Weakest Moment

November 24, 2009

“You’re only as strong as your weakest moment.” We’ve all heard that statement. And while true, we often miss the potential behind those words. Our weakest moment doesn’t necessarily have to be our greatest defeat.

In this message, Ed Young shows us what lies beyond our weakest moments. And he reveals the fact that our weakest moment may be the very moment when God can show us what it takes to experience a life of purpose, hope and success.

Judgment. To us, the word sounds ominous and cruel. It’s a word we equate with prejudice, corruption and even hate. Yet, there is a judgment that is coming that is none of those. It is a judgment born out of God’s love.

In this message, Ed Young opens the pages of Scripture to reveal the truth about the ultimate judgment. And he shows us that when we view judgment from an eternal perspective, we can begin to experience the most out of life every day.

The End Of The World

From the very beginning of time, mankind has been fascinated with the end of the world. We’ve attempted to analyze and calculate it, expect and envision it. We’ve made assumptions about events and accusations about people, all in an attempt to determine how and when it will happen. Yet, only God truly knows the details.

In this series, Ed Young opens the pages of Scripture to investigate what God says about the end of the world. And we see that the most powerful truth concerning the future end is the truth that Christ is the beginning of our hope today.

In this message, Ed Young looks at some of the signs that Jesus pointed to that will give us a heads up that the end is near. And we discover that the signs that point to the end can also point us to the beginning of hope, both for now and forever.
