More About Elevate Family

December 30, 2009

Elevate Family Logo We've been receiving a few questions on Elevate Family, so we wanted to take a moment to shed some clarity on this wonderful new curriculum. Here are the two questions we've received most so far.

What is Elevate Family?

Elevate Family is a stand-alone resource designed to bring biblical and applicable teaching into the family home. When you offer Elevate Family to the families of your church, you are giving them access to a resource designed to bring spiritual teaching into the life of their family. Elevate Family is an excellent tool for equipping parents to teach their children about God in the intimate setting of the home. Each week the Elevate Family series will provide a Bible story on DVD, application activities for the whole family to participate in, conversation starters to help create teachable moments, and personal Bible study cards for the child. These elements will help your children understand the Bible in a new way and allow the teaching of the Bible to become a centerpiece of the home.

Does my church need to be using the Elevate Curriculum in order for this to be beneficial for our families?

No. Elevate Family is a separate resource for you to offer to the families of your church. Elevate Family does not follow the same flow or even at times the same order as its church-based counterpart. Elevate Family is its own, stand-alone entity.

Podcast > Intersection

December 29, 2009

It was early, too early for most people. Still, the streets were crowded; the intersection was packed. And just as the light turned from red to green, a little dog wandered out from the shadows and into traffic.

In this Christmas message, Ed Young shares a touching and personal story of desperation, hope and ultimately rescue. And as he shows us the reality that we’re all in need of rescue, he reminds us that it doesn’t matter how long we have been in the shadows. Because no matter what, God can always provide hope in times desperation and rescue in times of danger.

Ed Young's 2009 Christmas Message Pre-Release

December 21, 2009

09ChristmasTranscript In just a few days, the lives of millions of people around the world will intersect. Many will cross paths with one another; some will overlap with you or me. But most importantly, they’ll all intersect with Jesus Christ.

Christmas is all about the intersection between God and man, heaven and earth, today and eternity. And it's during this season that many will come face-to-face with the ultimate decision at that intersection—to turn toward Jesus or away from Him.

This Christmas, it is vital that you and I be ready to show people that, in a very tangible way, a relationship with Jesus is greatest gift they can receive. Because once they turn toward Christ, nothing will ever be the same.

That's why I'm so excited to offer you the pre-release of my Christmas message. It’s all about that intersection!

Right now, you and I have the amazing opportunity to walk alongside hundreds and thousands of people as they are presented with an opportunity to make an eternal decision to follow Christ. Let’s make the most of this season together and point people to the greatest gift of all!

God's best,

Elevate Family - A Brand New Curriculum for the Family

December 16, 2009

Elevate Family Logo Teachable moments with our children rarely come on our timetable, in fact most of the time they just happen. Moments that arrive unannounced, providing you the chance to instill wisdom and direction into your children’s lives. Knowing this is true, are you ready to give solid Biblical answers when those moments arrive?

Elevate Family is designed to give you the confidence to bring the principles of God’s Word to your children in a clear, concise way. This creative resource is designed to equip parents to teach their children about God’s Word and to bring spiritual conversations into the home. By watching the Animated Bible Story and Life Application Message with your kids and completing the provided Activity Cards, you will develop a common base of knowledge about God’s Word which you can draw from when the moment calls for it.

Don’t let those teachable moments slip through your fingers. Take the lead, develop a common base of Bible knowledge with your kids. Then, make God and His ways a part of your every day conversation. When you do, you will see in your children what only God can provide…supernatural results!

Each Elevate Family Series includes eight lessons. Each lesson includes:

  • Animated Bible Story and Life Application Message on DVD
  • Two Activity Cards, two Family Conversation Cards
  • Two Child Bible Study Cards

Using Elevate family is as simple as 1,2,3.

  1. Watch the Bible Story and Life Application Message on the DVD with your kids
  2. Throughout the week incorporate any or all of the Family Activity, Family Conversation or Child Bible Study cards to reinforce what was learned in the Bible Story
  3. Watch as your kids grow in their knowledge of God’s plan for their life!
