Podcast > Details > A Brutifal Ride

January 26, 2010

For the past 20 years Ed Young has led Fellowship Church. And during that time, he has seen, heard and experienced things that he has rarely shared in public. But in this message, Ed pulls back the curtain of his life and his ministry and reveals the heart, passion and drive he has for God’s call in his life.

As Ed invites us into this personal reflection on what he calls the “brutifal” nature of ministry, we discover some powerful lessons that we can all apply. And we see that no matter what circumstances we face, when we live in a manner that is worthy of the gospel, God will take us to places we never dreamed possible.

Details

Everyone notices them; few people openly discuss them. They are the words that build the basis for our behavior, the actions that establish the essence of etiquette. But do the details of our personal conduct truly matter when the world is dealing with so many major issues?

In this new series, Ed Young tackles a subject that is rarely, if ever, discussed in church as he reveals the power behind the details in life. And as we discover the truth about the details, we learn how the smallest adjustments in behavior often produce the greatest results in life.

January 19, 2010

On average, people speak anywhere from five to twelve thousand words per day. Yet, in today’s culture, what we say doesn’t necessarily represent our intentions. Many times, we would rather ride the fence than let people know exactly where we stand.

In this message, though, Ed Young shows us how even the smallest words truly matter.Because it’s often the smallest words that carry the most power. And when we understand the significance of what we say today, we will discover a path that leads to a great future.

Fasting for the New Year

January 12, 2010

This weekend, Ed Young began a brand new series called Details. With this new series, Fellowship Church began a 21-Day Daniel Fast. Daniel made a decision not to eat the king's food as an outward symbol of an inward commitment he had made to God.

FastingKitL

The Daniel Fast is a partial fast, which means that some common things will be eliminated from the daily diet, but there are still generous options available. The focus of this fast is eating fruits and vegetables that are pure and simple. Fellowship Church has posted a list of foods to eat and foods to avoid.

If you are considering a fast at your church, you may want to check out the Larger Than Life series.

For more information on fasting, check out the Jentezen Franklin's  Fasting Kit  stemming from the New York Times best-selling book Fasting. It is perfect for both individuals and small groups interested in gaining understanding, growing their faith, and drawing closer to God. This program involves a Fasting Book, Fasting Journal, DVD and Fasting Study Guide.
